19 students from across the province were chosen to participate in a European tour retracing the steps of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment in World War 1, to coincide with the 100th Anniversary of the Battle of Beaumont Hamel. These young historians were chosen to participate in the Ambassador Award Program through the Historic Sites Association of Newfoundland and Labrador’s regional Heritage Fairs for their outstanding projects on a World War 1 topic.
