Remembering T. Alex Hickman

It is with a heavy heart that the HSA announces the passing of Alex Hickman, an invaluable member and friend of the organization. Alex served on the HSA Board of Directors from 2001 to 2007 and continued to serve as an Emeritus Board Member on the Manning Awards Committee. As our Manning Awards Committee prepares to meet for the year, Alex’s loss will be felt most keenly. While his knowledge of NL history served the HSA well, it is his personal accounts of how things used to be, told through fun stories filled with passion and love for this province, which will always be remembered. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Hickman family during this difficult time.
